On behalf of the Learn Academies Trust (Learn-AT), I would like to thank you for your interest in the post of Chief Executive Officer (Trust Leader).
Learn-AT is a charitable Trust of Church of England and community primary schools in Leicestershire, established in 2016. We now have 14 primary schools in the Trust, and we are hoping to welcome another five schools over the next few months. We will then be responsible for the education of around 4,000 children.
Learn-AT’s roots are in a Collaborative Trust of primary schools in Market Harborough, but we now have schools across the south and east of the county and around Leicester. Many of our schools are village schools that are at the heart of their communities, and we feel a moral and social responsibility to help them - like all of our schools - to thrive.
We are proud of what we have achieved as a Trust, and we are looking for a CEO to help us to continue and develop our work. When we say we are a school-led Trust, with fellowship at our heart, we really mean it: all our school leaders contribute to Learn-AT’s strategic leadership, and we actively involve local governors in Trust governance.
Through our school improvement model, which has networks of professionals across the Trust supporting one another, we aim that every child, including those with SEND, should benefit from high quality teaching and a rich curriculum. Our attainment and recent inspection outcomes have generally been good, but we are constantly striving to do better.
Research and professional learning is at the heart of what we do: we have a school improvement and professional development arm, Learn-AT Professional, which recently announced an exciting partnership with the National Institute for Teaching. We have invested in high quality operational systems, including finance and IT, so our schools are fully connected and are helped to use their resources wisely. This enables teachers and school leaders to focus on what they do best: teaching and learning.
We want a CEO who will be able to build on these achievements, and who shares our values and our commitment to an excellent education for all our children. And we also want someone who has the imagination and courage to spot opportunities, try new ideas and build partnerships, to help our pupils to flourish and our colleagues to thrive.
If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
Yours faithfully,
Jeremy Benson
